I'm new here.

So I decided to start a Live Journal after reading through my friend, Meghan's.  I decided it would be good to keep a log of what I'm doing/feeling from day to day.  I use to keep a journal, but I gave up because I hate clutter and didn't want a million notebooks laying around the house.  So I figure this is a good way to document what is going on without having notebooks filling up my closet.

Today we went to church.  I go back and forth about our church, trying to decide if it is where we need to be.  We're in the newlywed sunday school class and the age range is somewhere from 21-41.  Sometimes it can be hard to find our place.  I wish there were more young people at our church.  It seems like the average age is 60.  Which is fine, but I wish we could connect more with young couples our age.  However, we love being able to worship on Sundays with our family.   So I guess we will stay put for now, I know the Lord will faithfully provide the unity our group needs over time.

My parents and brother are in Brazil with the Park Hill Baptist youth choir. Mom and Dad celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary there through the renewal of their vows on the beach.  I wish we could have been there to see it.  My parents are such an inspiration to me.  I look at their marriage and hope that Gary and I can love one another the way they have the past 25 years.

Lately I have been keeping busy with the salon.  I never realized how many little things go in to keeping a business functioning.  It has been a neat experience and I am loving every minute of it.  The girls I work with are great.  We all work well together and the time flies by each day.  My clientele has begun to pick up and I'm really thankful for all of my sweet clients.  Doing hair is such a relational job.  I love getting to form relationships with new people and make them feel good about themselves.  I am very blessed to have the opportunity to follow my dream, work with people I enjoy and love what I do.
